Pueblo Pintado Hornets

Pueblo Pintado Community School’s special education program provides services for students with special needs. Students reach their greatest potential after receiving the necessary tools, resources and accommodations. Our dedicated team strives to remove all developmental obstacles and learning challenges from a student’s path. We foster teaching and learning strategies to enhance students' mental, physical, social, and emotional well-being.

Our special education curriculum serves the diverse needs of our students. We apply comprehensive services that track student progress and seek to fill any learning and development gaps. The early identification of a student’s developmental issues allows our team to create the best educational plan with the assistance of parents/guardians. Our special education program guides students through a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.

Individualized Education Plans

Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) are designed to support students as they progress through the school curriculum. A student’s teachers, parents/guardians, and staff specialists work together to create an effective educational plan. Any accommodations are applied to a student’s IEP and evaluated for efficiency. Our informed and knowledgeable staff members monitor student achievements and difficulties to keep them on track for graduation.

Parent/Guardian Involvement

Active parents/guardians and responsive staff members are vital to the success of all Pueblo Pintado students. Students in our special education program thrive because of a strong partnership between families and educators. This relationship is key to the success and advancement of our students with special needs. Parent/guardian feedback, suggestions and questions are always welcome because our special educational program believes in teamwork.
