Pueblo Pintado Hornets

Pueblo Pintado Community School recognizes that parents/guardians are full partners with educators, administrators, school board members and support staff. Educators work with families to create the best learning experience for each child. We encourage strong, meaningful and productive two-way communication between parents/guardians, the school and the community. Our staff encourages families to stay involved in the joint development of the school’s improvement plan. We coordinate parent/guardian involvement activities to support their children's education and help them avoid pitfalls and learning gaps.

Parent Advisory Committee

The Parent Advisory Committee, composed of parents/guardians and school personnel, develops the School Plan. The school holds monthly PAC meetings on the first Wednesday of every month and encourages ongoing parent/guardian involvement in the planning, review and improvement of the Parent/Guardian Involvement Policy. The school also makes the PAC policy available to the local community and periodically updates it to meet the changing needs of parents and the school.

Parent/Guardian-School Compact

The Parent/Guardian-School Compact outlines how parents/guardians, the school staff and students are responsible for building and developing a partnership. The compact describes the school’s responsibility to provide high-quality curriculum and instruction in a supportive learning environment. Parents/guardians are responsible for supporting their child’s education by monitoring school attendance and homework completion.

We emphasize the importance of frequent two-way communication between staff and parents/guardians. Quarterly parent/guardian-teacher conferences are scheduled to provide school staff and families with in-person opportunities to discuss, review and plan for student success. Parents/guardians are also made aware of any extracurricular activities or volunteer opportunities. The PAC reviews and updates the Parent/Guardian-School Compact annually.
